Custom GPTs are retiring. Move to a public AI agent.
OpenAI is retiring custom GPTs on December 11, 2026. After that date, GPTs and their GPT pages become inaccessible; OpenAI's replacement is ChatGPT plugins, which start private. If your GPT was how people talked to your expertise, your brand or your product, a public AI agent is the closest thing to move it to — with its own page, outside ChatGPT.

What's changing
- December 11, 2026. Custom GPTs retire, and their GPT pages become inaccessible.
- February 11, 2027. The later date, only for Enterprise workspaces with an approved deferral.
- Migration goes to plugins. A migrated plugin starts private; making it public takes a separate submission. Sharing settings and existing users don't carry over.
- Custom actions don't transfer automatically.

How to move a GPT to Agenturo
- Save your GPT. Copy its instructions and download its files while you can still edit it.
- Sign up free and start an agent. The builder turns your instructions into an identity, a voice and knowledge.
- Add the same files. Or your website, as knowledge.
- Share the new link. Wherever you shared the GPT, and embed it on your site.
One honest difference: a GPT's custom actions don't come across. Agenturo agents can connect to tools, but those run for you, the owner — not for your visitors.
